Avi's Mime Time

Borrowing from a sports’ cliché, Avi has come into his own.

Or, rather, Avi has seen his reflection. He likes what he views. Mirrors have become his best friend.

Or, vice-versa, his best friend are mirrors. Avi’s not sure.

All he knows is that he’s optimistic about the future of multiplicity. The pair of eyes housed in animated mime is worth a second look. Transfixed, almost in a stupor, Avi stands tall while greeting his look-alike suitor. He raises an arm, pats his reflection, then swirls his hand in a circular motion as if cleaning a car’s windshield.

A moment later, Avi shouts with glee. He speaks, the reflection seems to listen, and Avi feels empowered. He keeps looking, then stares, turns catatonic. For a moment, his joy has hit the pause button.

Then you shift his little frame so that not just two, but four self images are present in the wall-length mirror that wraps around a corner. Now Avi’s beyond belief. He’s not sure what to do. But the largest image is the closest one. So let’s go there. Another giggle. Another swipe.
More finger stains on the mirror.

Avi’s hypnotized. I’ll worry later about when there will be time to find the window cleaner and rag.
